La Sportiva TX Guide Leather Approach Shoe

The La Sportiva TX Guide Leather Approach Shoe is the leather and more durable version of Sportiva’s most technical shoe in the TX range. If you are the type of person that blurs the lines between hiking and climbing, then the TX Guide Leather is for you. It’s perfect for hiking into climbs with technical approaches, or even just for steep hiking and scrambling. The edge of the sole holds firm on rock and the TX Guide can be used for low angled climbing. It borrows technology from La Sportiva’s climbing, running and hiking ranges to produce a lightweight but robust approach shoe. 

La Sportiva have made the last (or fit) as “technical” as they can for a walking shoe. This does focus the toes together a little more. While not as wide as the TX4, it makes it better for climbing and scrambling on edges and walking on steep terrain. The dual compound Vibram Mega-Grip sole also gives you maximum friction where you need it  towards the front half of the sole and durability on the back half.
