The Grivel Easy Slider 2.0 is a support handle for your ice axe that is great for a number of reasons:
- Helps support your weight on steep terrain when using straight shafted ice tools
- protects your knuckles when swinging your axe into the ice
- Use it 2/3rds of the way up the shaft when Nord Walling
The other great thing is that if you’re transitioning from walking to swinging mode with your axes you often have to change the leash attachment point from bottom to top. Not with the Grivel Easy Slider! Just slide that baby right on up there. The Grivel spring leash also comes with there swivel carabiner to stop everything getting all twisted up when transitioning from different positions.
